STW works on Castle Street from 30th May 2023

STW is carrying out some investigative works on Castle Street, starting on 30th May and has provided the following information.

We're carrying out some investigation on the waste network. Severn Trent needs to carry out ground investigations in Melbourne in preparation for a programme of sewer improvements due to take place sometime between 2025 and 2030. Important information Our contract partner Amelio will start work on Tuesday 30 May 2023 and hopes to be completed within three weeks. The team will begin by digging two trial holes at the junction of Jubilee Close and Castle Street before moving up to the triangle where Castle Street meets Station Road, at which four more holes will be excavated. To complete the work quickly and safely, we'll need to use signs, barriers, and multi-way traffic lights. The team will be working between 8:00AM and 18:00PM each day, weekend work may be required. This work involves using a mini digger and equipment to break the road surface when necessary. The roadway will be reinstated once this work is complete. Who can I contact?
