The passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Melbourne Parish Council is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Her Majesty served this nation and the Commonwealth with an exemplary sense of duty for over 70 years. During this time her commitment was unwavering and during her reign, she oversaw many changes in society. Her stamina, commitment and dedication to her duties and the nation is truly awe inspiring.

It is clear that the nation and the people here in Melbourne held Her Majesty in a deep and abiding affection.
