Volunteer Elves required to man the road closures the Christmas Lights switch on
Can You Spare A Few Hours To Help?
Can spare an hour or two on Friday 3rd December at 4pm to help set up the road closures for the Christmas Lights switch on – if so, the parish council would like to hear from you!

Consultation on council tax reduction scheme
South Derbyshire District Council is undertaking a consultation on proposed changes to its Council Tax reduction scheme; the booklet and letter are linked below.
Any responses should be sent directly to ctrs-consultation@southderbyshire.gov.uk no later than 5pm on 14th January 2022.

Public Toilets update
The public toilets on High Street have been deep cleaned and repainted today. The toilets will remain closed until lunchtime on 18th November to ensure that the paint is dry.

ACCESS TO DEFIBRILLATORS
Very recently it was necessary for someone to access the defibrillator at Church Square, unfortunately someone had parked so close to the defibrillator that access to it was difficult and vital minutes were lost. ROAD CLOSURE
The parish council expressed concerns about the work being undertaken today on Church Street and the associated road closure which would clash with the road closures for the Wakes.

Removal of recycling bins
The recycling bins in the High Street car park have been removed. The Samaritans charity collector (textiles and shoes) and the DDC operated small electricals will remain. Please do not leave any rubbish in the carpark, this is flytipping for which fines can and have been, imposed.
